Criminal Justice

This program will introduce students to key concepts of emergency preparedness, law enforcement, and criminal justice. Students will learn about laws and assets / organizations at the local, state, and federal levels. The program concludes with an internship or capstone experience that enables them to apply what they’ve learned.

CAREER EXPLORATION

A career in criminal justice is a good fit for people who want to serve the public. These careers require adaptability, problem solving, level-headedness, compassion, and the ability to work with all types of people. Some jobs in the field involve highly stressful and/or dangerous situations. Individuals with a sense of duty and fairness are well suited to the field.

Careers in the field include:

  • Law Enforcement / Police

  • Detective / Investigator

  • Military

  • National Security

  • Emergency Responder

  • Emergency Management

  • Attorney / Prosecutor

  • Private Security
