Our Valentine’s Spirit Day and Buddy Day were a perfect combination of school spirit, friendship, and fun. Students and staff showed off their Valentine’s colors and gear while spending meaningful time with their buddies across grade levels. From shared activities and laughter to thoughtful conversations and teamwork, it was incredible to see our Panthers connecting and supporting one another. We are so proud of the positive energy and heart our students bring to PES each and every day. 💕

🍀 Calling All Preston Families! 🍀 Our schoolwide buddies are on the hunt to catch a leprechaun AGAIN this year, and we need your help! We’re collecting materials for our leprechaun traps and could really use donations of: Cardboard boxes (cereal boxes, shipping boxes—broken down is fine!), paper towel tubes, toilet paper tubes, and craft foam. Please send in donations by Friday, March 6th. Thank you for helping make this a fun, magical experience for our students! 💚✨

💙💃🕺 What a night to remember at our Sweethearts Ball! 🕺💃💙 Tonight, Preston Elementary was filled with smiles, laughter, dancing feet, and unforgettable memories as our students shared a special evening with the people who mean the most to them. From fancy outfits to big hugs and nonstop fun, it was truly a celebration of family and connection. A huge thank you to our incredible Preston Panther PTO for sponsoring this wonderful event and making it possible. We are so grateful for your time, energy, and generosity.

We are excited to announce our Spring 2026 Book Fair, coming soon to the PES Media Center! This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading while supporting our school. Our Book fair will. be during the week of February 23–27, 2026, and is open daily from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Families are welcome to shop in person during the school day or online at any time using the QR code included on the attached flyer. We are also hosting Book Fair Night on Thursday, February 26, from 4:00–5:00 PM, and we hope you can join us! To make shopping easy for students, we encourage families to consider using Scholastic eWallet, a safe and cashless payment option. All proceeds directly support the Preston Elementary School Media Center. Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping us foster a lifelong love of reading in our students.

What a FUN day at school! 🐍💚 Our students had an amazing time during a special reptile assembly today! They got to see some really cool animals up close and learn all about them. We met Little Alexander the Great the snapping turtle, Petito the lizard, Okeechobee the alligator, Lipstick and Chapstick the milk snakes, a copperhead, a cobra, Jade the anaconda, and Banana Bread the Burmese python. Some brave students even got to touch Banana Bread! 😄🐍 A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Preston PTO for making this awesome experience possible! 💚👏 Ask your child what their favorite animal was!

Caroline Family - Please mark your calendars with the following adjustments:
*Friday, February 6: Now a half day for students and a full day for staff
*Monday, February 16 (Presidents Day): Now a full day for students and staff
*Monday, March 16: Now a full day for students and staff

These adjustments were made due to the recent inclement weather days used, and in an effort to avoid extending the school year. With these changes, and if no further inclement weather days are used, the last day of school for students remains June 17, 2025 (half-day).

Today we celebrated our Quarter 2 Awards Assemblies, honoring students across all grade levels for their hard work, growth, and achievements! 🎉🏆 From academic excellence to positive character and perseverance, our students continue to show what it means to rise to the challenge and support one another. 💖✨ PES Sweethearts Ball ✨💖 The PTO invites our PES students to a magical evening of dancing, fun, and memories! Each student may attend with one special adult “sweetheart”—a parent, guardian, or another cherished adult. This will be a chance to dress up, dance, and enjoy a night made just for our PES community! This will be a FREE event with pizza & refreshments and will take place on Friday, February 6th, from 6:00–7:30 PM. Students should have signed up previously for attendance for this event.
