Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM)

This is a designed program of study for juniors and seniors. This instructional program prepares individuals for occupations in education, including elementary, middle, and secondary school teachers; teaching assistants; and counselors. This is a foundational program for students interested in elementary, middle school, and secondary education. Courses can be articulated with Chesapeake College and Towson University.

A teaching career is a good fit for people who like to help others and make an important impact on their lives. Teachers must be adaptive, patient, cooperative, enthusiastic, and good at diffusing difficult situations. The most successful teachers are lifelong learners themselves, always looking for new and better ways to guide students.

  • School Administration

  • Guidance Counselor
